This guide explains how to add a unique, personalised Birthday Discount Link to your Klaviyo email template.
Add the Birthday Discount Link
In Klaviyo, open your Birthday Flow and click Edit Email to open the email editor.
Button blocks do not have a built-in personalization menu so you'll need to type the Birthday Discount Link variable directly into the Button block's Link address field.
Click on your Button block and paste the following into the Link address field:
{{ person|lookup:'Birthday Discount Link'|default:'' }}
Birthday Discount Link not populating? This property is created in Klaviyo the first time the Happy Birthday app sends over a Birthday Club sign-up. Try adding yourself to your Birthday Club manually, or get in touch and we'll be happy to help.
Click Save and Exit. Your email template is now ready to deliver birthday discounts to your customers.
