A very useful feature in the Happy Birthday app is the ability to add a Birthday Club Member's date of birth to their Shopify customer record, either as a tag or note. We have also recently extended this feature to also allow this to be added as a Shopify customer metafield.

Having the customer's DOB stored as a customer note, tag or metafield is useful if you provide any type of personal recommendations services for your customers. When looking up a Customer's record, the date of birth note, tag or metafield can be useful in building a profile on which to base your recommendations.
