What happens when I reach the limit of my current plan?

Existing members keep getting their birthday emails. New sign-ups pause until you upgrade - here's exactly what stops working.

When you hit your plan's Birthday Club member limit, we keep sending birthday emails and generating discount codes for everyone who's already a member. Only new sign-ups pause.

To keep growing your Birthday Club, upgrade to the next plan that fits your member count.

Will I be notified before I exceed my limit?

Yes, three times:

  • An early warning when you're approaching your limit

  • A follow-up if you still haven't upgraded

  • A final notification at the moment you exceed it

All notifications go to your store's admin email address.

What stops working when I exceed my limit?

Once you're over, the following Birthday Club sign-up channels pause:

  • Happy Birthday app block (theme, Thank You page, Order Status page)

  • Birthday Sign-up Page ({your-store}/apps/birthday)

  • Shopify POS UI Extension

  • CSV imports and manual additions

  • Integrations - any new sign-ups sent by Klaviyo, Mailchimp, Omnisend, Brevo, Customer Fields, Privy, or our custom webhook will not be collected

Existing members keep getting their birthday emails with no interruption.

Changing your contact email address

If you'd prefer plan-limit notifications go to a different email address, please get in touch and we'll update your notification settings.
