I have enabled the Klaviyo integration, but my Klaviyo contacts do not appear in the Happy Birthday app?

When enabling the Klaviyo integration, the Happy Birthday app does not automatically pull your existing Klaviyo contacts. Export a list of those Klaviyo contacts with birthdays for us to import into your Birthday club.

This article is specifically aimed at Merchants who wish to enable our integration with Klaviyo.

When enabling the Klaviyo integration, the Happy Birthday app does not automatically pull your existing Klaviyo contacts into the Happy Birthday app.

What we recommend, therefore, is that you export your contact list from Klaviyo and then send us the file to import that list of contacts into the Happy Birthday app.

It is important that you only export contacts that have a Birthdate against their Klaviyo profile already. Contacts that do not have a valid Birthdate will not be imported into the Happy Birthday app.

Once the import has completed we will schedule a task to generate all of the Birthday discount links. We will then push those links back through to the corresponding contact in your Klaviyo account.

The Birthday discount link is a unique url to each contact and you will see it in Klaviyo as a custom field. You can then include that custom field in your Klaviyo Birthday email campaign template.
