Filtering your Birthday Club Members view

Written by Steve Jones

The Members page lets you filter and segment your Birthday Club members using a range of criteria. This is useful for understanding your audience, spotting trends, or identifying specific groups of customers.

Available filters

Filters appear as buttons along the top of the Members table. Several are shown by default; you can add more using the Add filter + button.

Signup date

Filter members by when they joined your Birthday Club. Options include:

  • Today

  • Yesterday

  • Last 7 days

  • This week

  • Last 30 days

  • This month

  • Last 90 days

  • Last 365 days

  • Custom date range

Birthday

Filter members by when their birthday falls. Relative options include:

  • Today

  • Tomorrow

  • This week

  • Next 7 days

  • This month

  • Next 30 days

You can also filter by specific months (January through December), which is useful for planning ahead.

Conversions

Filter by whether members have made purchases attributed to a birthday campaign.

Age

Filter members into age brackets:

  • Under 12

  • 12–17

  • 18–24

  • 25–34

  • 35–44

  • 45–54

  • 55–64

  • 65–74

  • 75+

Please Note: Age filtering requires birthday dates to be stored in yyyy/mm/dd format (i.e. including the year). If your store collects birthdays in mm/dd format only, the Age filter will show a message saying "Age data not available" and prompt you to change your date format in Settings.

Filter by how members joined your Birthday Club. Available channels include:

  • New Shopify Checkout

  • Order Status Page (Legacy)

  • Landing Page

  • POS

  • POS tile

  • Import

  • Manually Added

  • Mailchimp

  • Klaviyo

  • Brevo

  • Omnisend

  • Privy

  • SMSBump

  • Customer Fields

  • Custom webhook

Discount code

Search for members who have been sent a specific discount code. Type into the search field to filter by code.

Customer type

Filter by whether members are linked to a Shopify customer account or not: Shopify customers only or Non-Shopify customers only.

Customer status

Filter by email deliverability status: Unsubscribed or Bounced emails. This is useful for list hygiene, identifying members you can no longer reach.

Adding and removing filters

Filters not shown by default can be added via the Add filter + button at the right of the filter bar. To clear an active filter, open its dropdown and click Clear at the bottom.

Searching for specific Birthday Club members

In addition to filters, you can search for a specific Birthday Club member by name or email using the search bar at the top of the Members table.

Exporting your filtered member data

Once you've filtered your members list, you can export the results using the Export button in the top-right corner of the Members page. This downloads a CSV of your current filtered view, making it easy to share data or use it in external tools. For full details on the export format and what's included, see Exporting your Birthday Club data.
