This article aims to explain what the Discount Applied Landing Page is and how it works.

The Discount Applied Landing Page is generated on the fly in your site by the Happy Birthday app and is used in conjunction with our Auto Apply discount feature.

If you choose to enable the Auto Apply discount feature, the birthday discount code can then be applied automatically to the checkout from the customers birthday email:

The Discount Applied Landing Page is used to confirm to the Customer that their birthday discount has then been applied to their current session:

To enable the Auto Apply discount feature, select Your Campaign from the Happy Birthday app main menu and then click on the Edit discount settings button within the Discount section.

This will open the Birthday campaign editor. The Discount display settings on left-hand side of the editor contain the Auto Apply option:

The Discount Applied Landing Page is enabled in your store by default.

To access the settings, select Advanced from the Happy Birthday app main menu and then click on the Configure button within the Discount Applied Landing Page option:

You can preview how your Discount Applied Landing Page will appear by clicking on the demo link provided in your preview section.

You can control the content that is displayed on the Discount Applied Landing Page as well as including some terms and conditions associated with the usage of the discount which will appear below the Expiry date of the discount within the Birthday email:

Here is a short explanation of each setting in the Content section:

Title - The main title that will appear at the top of the Discount Applied Landing Page

Introduction text - A body of text where you can again wish the birthday club member a Happy Birthday and let them know that their code has been applied to their shopping session.

Button text - This is the wording you'd like to appear on the button that is used to start shopping.

Button link - The location you would like to direct your customers to after visiting the page. This will automatically use the url of your store.

Terms text - If you have any terms and conditions that relate to the Birthday Discount Code, here is another opportunity to present them to the holder of the discount code.

It is possible to customise the Discount Applied Landing Page in various ways. You may wish to apply the colours of your branding, or perhaps tweak the spacing between elements on the page.
